Guess who is back

, Seville

Helloo, it’s been more than a month since the last update.

Since then there’s been for example a wine tasting which in Erasmus may be more about the drinking but at least I found out about Andalusian orange wine (not orange-colored but made with actual oranges).
There’s been more rooftop nights, more trips to Cádiz, and I still go to my favorite café every day. By now I can just say “the usual” and they know what to do.
We have also seen the roman Itálica ruins.

The best week was when my girlfriend visited me, though.

On the day of her arrival I wanted to prepare a romantic rooftop dinner. So before she came I asked my Italian flat mate for a traditional pasta recipe which I will cherish forever ;) I also finally unpacked my baggage in preparation.

I have looked forward to the day I could see my girlfriend again although it hasn’t even been that long since I left.
When I picked her up from the airport it was the best feeling.
After a stop at home we explored Parque de María Luisa and in the evening had the dinner at home.

We saw most of the sights there are to see in Sevilla throughout the week.
My favorites were going up the Torre de Sevilla, our Cádiz trip, and seeing a show in the Teatro Flamenco.

I can’t wait to see her again.

A few days after she left I dropped my phone and as it already had a few cracks it was now completely unusable so I had to go a week without a phone. It felt weird but I could at least still use WhatsApp Web or email for communicating.

Recently I also tried out a Tablao for the first time. We went to La Madriguera de Mai which was a recommendation of the owner of the café I go to. It was great and you end up paying the same as for the Teatro Flamenco, but you also get food and drinks.
It’s a tradeoff between more show and performers in the Teatro and food in a Tablao. The Tablao felt more cozy and intimate so maybe I prefer that. I would do both again though.

In general right now I was a bit annoyed from the university because after one and a half months I learned that they couldn’t register me for a psychology course I want to do and after talking to my home university I kinda need to do it now. They just said it was full and they can’t register me although I was already participating and the professor knew me. So I wasn’t sure if I could officially have it registered and if that was the case I was even thinking maybe I just let the semester go and come back for the next one. Although on Friday I finally talked to the right person and it should be official now.
Other than that I should really get into a sports routine again. I didn’t do much since I came here.

On Saturday I went on a trip to Ronda and Setenil de las Bodegas. In Ronda we saw the bridge Puente Nuevo and Casa del Rey Moro which is a palace with a garden and water mine. Here you can go down a 60 meter staircase which is not recommended for people with heart problems.

The next stop was in Setenil de las Bodegas which is part of the pueblos blancos. Here we just walked around enjoying the views because we didn’t have much time. It was still worth it.

The next update will probably come a bit sooner. See you!
