Jerez de la Frontera

, Seville

The best places we've seen in Jerez de la Frontera were the Alcázar de Jerez and Claustros de Santo Domingo.

The Alcázar is an old moorish castle. It has some nice views and a garden and for me really was the most interesting part of Jerez.

The cloister Claustros de Santo Domingo was small but beautiful.

All in all the city didn't convince us that much. If I return I'd go again for hiking in the surroundings of the city or for a wine tasting. Although the Sherry I tried wasn't exactly my favorite type of wine either.

A lot of houses in the city desperately needed either a renovation or a demolition. The city also felt like it wasn't alive, like it was missing people. Maybe we just visited on the wrong day? It was last Thursday during the day, after all.
