Surprising My Girlfriend

In the beginning of June it was my girlfriend's birthday and our anniversary.
Weeks or even months earlier I was talking to our friends about how I could maybe surprise her.
We were planning what we can do and when we can do it.
So, on her birthday I told her I was going to Cádiz for chilling at the beach. This was a lie (sorry) and served as my excuse for why I wouldn't call her on that day.
Instead of taking a train to Cádiz, I flew to Munich where I first met our friend.
I dropped my stuff, and we bought some groceries and flowers.
Before she told my girlfriend that she reserved a table for the two of them in a restaurant for dinner.
That was also a lie of course, so I came early to the restaurant and asked for a vase and waited until they showed up.
My girlfriend's face when she saw me was absolutely amazing. It was like in a cartoon when someone has to look twice for something unexpected, and they have a super shocked face.
During the few days I was there we had a great time, and I was glad that I did the trip even if I could see her for only a short time.
